WWI Letters: Cecil Brown to his parents

Cecil Melvin Brown was born 4 March 1895 in Adams. He was the son of Frank and Effie Brown. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1914. When he registered for the draft, he was studying medicine at Indiana University. After his service in the war, he worked in the garage and service station business. He died of a heart attack on 15 November 1950 at his home in Spencer (Owen County), leaving a widow, Mrs. Hettie Brown. His son, Sgt. Claude Eugene Brown, preceded him in death on 16 April 1945.
